Moment of Escape

Moment of Escape by Larry Holt is an original mixed-media sculpture that beautifully combines forged steel with natural stone to create a quiet moment of contemplation. A slender metal figure sits comfortably beside a towering stone pillar, sheltered beneath an umbrella while absorbed in a book. The scene captures the simple luxury of escaping into a story, where time slows and the outside world fades away.

Holt's signature elongated figures and handcrafted metalwork contrast beautifully with the rugged permanence of natural stone, creating a sculpture that is both whimsical and sophisticated. The balance of delicate steel against the weight of the stone evokes themes of tranquility, imagination, and the restorative power of solitude.

Whether displayed in a home, office, library, or contemporary art collection, Moment of Escape invites viewers to pause, breathe, and remember the joy of losing themselves in a good book. This original sculpture is an elegant conversation piece for collectors who appreciate figurative art, storytelling, and exceptional craftsmanship.
