Moon Tender

Moon Tender presents an elongated figure extending upward through flowing lines and simplified forms, creating a composition defined by vertical movement and quiet tension. The figure appears suspended between reaching and holding, with the upward gesture drawing the eye through the narrow composition while maintaining a sense of balance and restraint.

Through his symbolic approach to the human figure, Bud Egger transforms anatomy into narrative. The work suggests themes of care, connection, aspiration, and stewardship, inviting viewers to consider the relationship between humanity and forces larger than ourselves. Like much of Egger’s figurative work, Moon Tender leaves space for personal interpretation while exploring the emotional space between strength and vulnerability.
