Wounded

Wounded

Wounded presents a compressed figurative form built through interwoven shapes, layered anatomy, and rhythmic patterns that draw the viewer into the center of the composition. The curled posture creates an immediate sense of protection and tension, while the flowing linework maintains movement within an otherwise enclosed space.

Through his symbolic approach to the human figure, Bud Egger transforms anatomy into emotional narrative. The work suggests themes of vulnerability, endurance, healing, and resilience without defining a singular story. Rather than focusing solely on injury, Wounded explores the universal experience of retreat, recovery, and the strength required to emerge again.
