River People
Layered glass forms drift through a softened, atmospheric field in River People, evoking the quiet movement of underwater life. Silhouetted fish emerge and recede within veils of milky opacity, while suspended linear elements and trapped air bubbles create a sense of depth and motion. Christine Kende’s process of building and fusing multiple glass layers allows light to interact with the piece in shifting ways, echoing the fluid rhythms of the coastal environment. Both abstract and representational, the work invites a slow, contemplative viewing experience.
