Violet Tide

Violet Tide captures the meeting of sky and sea in a richly layered coastal composition. A band of deep violet stretches across the horizon, softening into lighter tones above, while textured white forms suggest waves breaking over a shoreline of scattered stones and shells. The lower edge of the piece is filled with organic fragments and layered color, evoking the tactile detail of the coast. Christine Kende’s fused glass technique builds depth through multiple layers, allowing light to interact with the surface and bring subtle movement to the water and sky. Both grounded and atmospheric, the work reflects a moment of shifting light along the edge of the ocean.
