Glacial Light

Glacial Light unfolds through layered tones of blue, violet, and soft white, evoking a landscape shaped by water, ice, and shifting sky. Translucent forms drift across the upper field like fractured ice or passing clouds, while textured elements below suggest shoreline, rock, and movement along the water’s edge. A small area of warm color anchors the composition, offering contrast within the cool, atmospheric palette. Christine Kende’s fused glass process builds depth through layered materials and subtle variations in opacity, allowing light to move through the piece and reveal new dimensions over time. The result is both expansive and contemplative, inviting interpretation through color and form.
