Moon Keeper

Moon Keeper presents a tall, elongated figure reaching skyward, balancing human form with symbolic gesture. The composition draws the viewer upward through strong vertical movement, while carved textures and rhythmic linework create both physical presence and emotional tension.

As an Artist Proof woodcut, the work reflects Bud Egger’s narrative-driven approach, where mythology, spirituality, and the human condition emerge through simplified yet expressive forms. The figure appears suspended between earth and sky, part guardian, part witness, part seeker. Egger’s work often explores symbolic storytelling through exaggerated forms and textured surfaces, inviting personal interpretation rather than fixed meaning.
