Two Siamese Cats

With their brilliant blue eyes and perfectly innocent expressions, the two Siamese cats in this delightful original painting seem completely unaware of the broken flowerpot and scattered tulips at their feet. Lowell Herrero masterfully captures the playful curiosity and unmistakable personalities that have endeared cats to their human companions for generations.

Known for blending technical skill with warmth and gentle humor, Herrero transforms an ordinary household mishap into a memorable story. The carefully rendered Siamese cats command the composition with their alert gaze and elegant markings, while the overturned pot adds a touch of lighthearted mischief that every cat owner will recognize.

Painted with Herrero's signature attention to expression and narrative, this work celebrates not only the beauty of the Siamese breed but also the everyday moments that make life with animals so rewarding. It is a painting that invites viewers to smile, imagine the scene that unfolded moments before, and appreciate the unique bond between people and their pets.

This original painting comes from the personal collection of renowned Oregon artist Bill W. Dodge, reflecting his admiration for the work of fellow artists. Its connection to Dodge's collection adds an additional layer of provenance and appeal for collectors interested in American representational art.

Whether displayed in a living room, study, or library, this charming original is certain to delight collectors of Lowell Herrero's work, cat enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates paintings filled with humor, warmth, and timeless storytelling.
