Initium

Initium captures a moment of emergence—where light begins to break through a layered sky and stretch across a still, reflective horizon. Soft blues, muted golds, and deepened cloud forms create a sense of atmosphere that feels both vast and intimate.

Burke’s brushwork moves fluidly across the surface, balancing expressive gesture with subtle transitions of tone. The reflection below mirrors the sky above, dissolving the boundary between land, water, and air. There is a quiet sense of beginning within the composition—something unfolding rather than concluding.

Both expansive and contemplative, Initium invites stillness while holding a quiet sense of motion within the light.
