Blue Tail Splash

Blue Tail Splash

Elegant and upward in motion, Blue Tail Splash is part of Suzanne Vaughan’s Tail Series, exploring marine-inspired form through glass mosaic sculpture. The vertical sweep of the piece suggests a whale’s tail lifting from the water, capturing a moment of quiet movement and balance.

Hand-laid glass tiles in layered shades of blue follow the contours of the form, reflecting light and emphasizing its sculptural presence. A central inlay of New Zealand Pua shells introduces depth and subtle iridescence, adding a natural element within the structured mosaic surface.

Both sculptural and serene, this piece brings a sense of coastal movement and refined craftsmanship into a space.
