Atmospheric River, is an acrylic seascape painting on barnwood by Nikole Rae Peacock. The wood was reclaimed from a 100 year old barn on the family's property near Astoria, Oregon. She is playing with the pinks, and coral colors of the sunsets, when the sky shifts from blue and turquiose in those dynamic colors at the beach. There is a heavy texture. She brilliantly, and intiutively follows the grain bringing the reflections from the sky onto the shore. With the sand pronounced between the rivers from the receding tide.

This piece is uneven on the bottom edge, so it may not work well with an easel. Hanging is recommended.
