QUATA CODY
Ethereal Seascapes & Landscapes - Oil Paintings
Quata Cody is a Seattle-based painter and multifaceted creative who lives a true artisan’s life. In addition to her passion for painting and acting, she restores and decorates her home with unique personal flair, raises chickens, and even makes her own wine.

Her love for oil painting began at age 10, when her grandmother gifted her a treasured box of paints — quickly followed by a lesson from her uncle that sparked a lifelong devotion to the craft. “I did two ocean scene paintings on canvas and used up all the paint within 3 months,” she recalls, “painting on paper, cardboard, and whatever I could find.”

Quata’s work spans the emotional spectrum — from ethereal, dreamlike island scenes to deeply personal reflections on the challenges and beauty of life. Still-life paintings and vignettes from everyday moments often carry undertones of nostalgia, introspection, or resilience. While she explores many mediums, oils remain her deepest artistic love.

Her talent even caught the eye of Hollywood: one of her paintings was purchased by the set crew of Hawaii Five-0 for use in an episode. Later it was transferred to the set of Magnum PI for use in two different episodes.
